Aaron Sorkin's cable news drama. The first season is the strongest — the 'News Night 2.0' premise is executed with genuine skill.
The idealism is explicit and the media criticism is substantive. Educational about broadcast journalism and the 2010-2011 news cycle. Jeff Daniels's performance is exceptional.
