These Terms of Service govern your use of the TV Intelligentsia website and services (the "Service"), operated by TV Intelligentsia, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("TVI," "we"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
TVI is an editorial and content-rating service. We publish a public methodology that scores television and film for cognitive quality, with credentialed review for children's content. The Service is for general information and entertainment.
The TVI Score (including the "IQ Score," dimension sub-scores, and the SEL Score) is a content rating of a work of media. It is not professional, medical, psychological, educational, or developmental advice, and it is not a measurement of any person's intelligence. The "IQ Score" describes content; it does not describe you or your child. Do not rely on the Service as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
Some content is reviewed by credentialed professionals (for example, a school psychologist who reviews children's content against our methodology). These professionals act as methodology reviewers of our content. They do not provide individualized professional services to you, do not form any practitioner-client or therapeutic relationship with you or your child, and do not assess, diagnose, or advise about any individual. Any reference to a credentialed reviewer describes our editorial process, not a service provided to you.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that scores, recommendations, availability information, or other content are accurate, complete, current, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TVI and its officers, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars.
Paid offers (such as the Founding Circle and Founding Parents) are described on their offer pages, and the terms and any refund guarantee stated there apply to your purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe; your purchase is also subject to Stripe's terms. We may change prices and offers prospectively; changes do not affect a purchase you have already completed.
Some features (such as the personal IQ tracker) store data only in your own browser; you are responsible for that data and can export or clear it. If you submit information to us, you confirm you have the right to provide it. We may display limited information you have consented to display (for example, a founder's chosen display name on a public founders wall).
The TVI methodology, scores, written editorial, designs, and other content are owned by TVI or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and share our content for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. You may not scrape, resell, or build a competing dataset from our scores without permission. Poster and art imagery is provided by TMDB and used under its terms; TVI does not claim ownership of that imagery.
Do not use the Service to break the law, infringe rights, attempt to disrupt or reverse the Service, or scrape it at scale. We may suspend access for misuse.
The Service links to and relies on third parties (for example, streaming providers and the services listed in our Privacy Policy). We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will revise the effective date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to provide notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
