The TVI Take
Emma Myers plays Pip Fitz-Amobi reopening a closed murder case as a school project, and the adaptation of Holly Jackson's trilogy treats teenage detection as real investigative method rather than romance with a puzzle attached. The second season's turn toward Good Girl, Bad Blood darkens the material and handles its heavier subjects with more care than the first, though the procedural plotting outpaces the character writing around it.
It earns the Competent tier on construction more than on depth.
