The TVI Take

Harold Ramis turns a time-loop gag into a moral education: Phil Connors relives the same Punxsutawney day until cynicism yields to competence, then to grace. The Danny Rubin script never explains the mechanism, forcing the viewer to read the loop as ethics rather than plot, and Murray calibrates the arc from contempt to the piano-and-ice-sculpture mastery of the final day.

Cited in ethics and theology courses for a reason.
