The TVI Take
Adapted from Martha Wells's novellas, the series gives Alexander Skarsgard a security android that has hacked its own governor module and would rather watch serial dramas than deal with the humans it guards. The dry first-person voice turns a story about a killing machine into a study of social anxiety and reluctant attachment, and the season earns its emotional turns without abandoning the comedy.
The personhood question runs underneath every joke.
