The TVI Take
Stephen Merchant's Bristol-set hybrid of community-service comedy and crime thriller. Seven strangers court-ordered to clean up a derelict building accidentally unbury a bag of money; the show then plays each character, a lefty student, a Trumpian businessman, a Black Lives Matter activist, a struggling lawyer, against their type.
The class and race politics aren't decoration; they're the engine, and the show is rare in letting the right-wing character be neither punished nor redeemed.
