The TVI Take
Zack Snyder's DCEU pillar reaches for Objectivist myth, god versus man, fear, the ethics of unchecked power, then buries it under a convoluted plot and the notorious Martha reconciliation. Real craft survives in the widescreen compositions, the Zimmer and Junkie XL score, and Affleck's brooding Batman, but the theatrical cut is tonally leaden and structurally incoherent, ambition outrunning execution.
