The TVI Take
Noah Hawley's FX/Marvel series built around David Haller, a mutant whose reality-bending powers are indistinguishable from schizophrenia. The formal ambition is the point: Hawley stages a silent black-and-white episode, a rap-battle interlude, and direct-address chapter breaks, forcing the viewer to arbitrate delusion from event alongside David.
The Aubrey Plaza and Dan Stevens performances anchor the fracture. Cognitively demanding and visually singular, though the narrative coherence thinned across its three seasons.
