The TVI Take

Elizabeth Banks's sequel whose German rival group (Das Sound Machine) provides genre-stakes the first film deferred. Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson continue to anchor; the world-championships structure is more rigorous about the underlying a-cappella subculture than the first film.

Tonally a step down from the original's freshness but a competent franchise extension.
