The TVI Take

Joel Crawford's animated sequel that nobody expected to land at this level. The Wolf as Death is rendered with the existential weight DreamWorks usually skips, a child's-film villain who is genuinely the concept of mortality, treated as such.

The film's commitment to letting its protagonist confront the end of his nine lives is the structural achievement.
