The TVI Take
Justin Lin steers the third Kelvin-timeline film back toward propulsive adventure, staging the swarm-ship assault on the Enterprise and the "Sabotage"-scored saucer counterattack with real kinetic craft. Simon Pegg and Doug Jung's script leans on the Spock and McCoy pairing and Kirk's search for purpose more than on hard ideas, so Krall's unity-versus-isolation theme stays surface-level.
A confident, well-made closer rather than a cerebral one.
