The TVI Take

Brad Bird's debut Pixar feature treats superhero retirement as actual middle-age material, domestic boredom, professional irrelevance, the slow corrosion of a marriage. The Syndrome villain's argument, "when everyone is super, no one will be", is genuine moral philosophy compressed into family-film register.

The closest a Pixar film has ever come to libertarian-coded thought experiment.
