The TVI Take
Leonard Nimoy directs the warmest TOS entry, folding a whale-extinction ecological argument into fish-out-of-water farce as Kirk's crew slingshots to 1986 San Francisco. The bus-profanity and Spock-nerve-pinch gags land because the ensemble chemistry is lived-in, but the register stays light comedy over spectacle, earning a solid competent placement.
